Ailey/Fordham BFA Program

An innovative partnership between The Ailey School and Fordham University, the Ailey/Fordham Bachelor of Fine Arts degree offers a diverse curriculum that combines the finest in dance and liberal arts education in a 4-year program. Students attend both institutions concurrently.

Certificate Program

The Certificate Program is a three-year program for advanced/beginner to intermediate level students ages 17-23 who have completed their secondary school requirements. This program takes a conservatory approach to dance training, combining technique dance academics, creative studies, and repertory and performance.

Independent Study Program

For students between the ages of 17 and 25 who have completed their secondary school requirements, this one-year Independent Study Program offers the same intensive dance technique training as the Certificate Program, without the commitment to a three-year training period.

Summer Intensive

For students ages 16 to 25, The Ailey School offers an exciting 6-week session located in the heart of New York City's theater district. Technique classes and repertory workshops with guest artists culimintate in performances at studio shows at the end of the summer.
