Steps Repertory Ensemble

Or Reitman is a professional Dancer, Pilates Instructor, and Arts Administrator from Givatayim, Israel. Beginning at the age of 12, he performed in Festivals domestically and internationally in "Givatayim Folk Dance Group." While in the Israeli Defense Force he began to train professionally as a dancer. At that time, he joined the "Thelma Yellin School for the Arts" through their ballet program and summer intensive program in 2007-2008. Upon completing his Army Service, Or was accepted to participate in the Summer Intensive Program at The Ailey School in 2009. Or was then chosen out of hundreds of candidates to attend "The Maslool" Professional Dancers Training Program where he had the privilege to perform repertory works from Israeli and renowned international choreographers such as: Inbal Pinto, Yasmin Goddar, Ronit Ziv, Barak Marshall, Sharon Eyal, Jiri Kylian, Angelin Preljocaj, Itzik Galili and Michael Getman. After graduating from "The Maslool" Professional Dancers Training Program, Or was accepted to The Ailey School in New-York to further his studies in dance. Since graduating from The Ailey Dchool, Or has been chosen to perform with renowned New-York based dance companies. He has had the privilege to perform "Rave" for Karole Armitage, artistic director of Armitage Gone! Dance at Abrons Arts Center. He was selected to dance with Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company in "The Oracle", choreographed by Daniel Gwirtzman at the BAM Fisher Theater.  Or was chosen to part in Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company's 40th anniversary event at the Ailey Citigroup Theater and he also danced in "Pachamama", for Anabella Lanzu Dance Drama at Center for Performance Research.

Or has been a company member at the Steps on Broadway Repertory Ensemble, Mari Meade Dance Collective & stringdance+media.  Among his accomplished performance experience on stage, Or was also chosen to be a part of several Video Dance Projects such as: "Ward Of The Feral Horses" a video Dance by interdisciplinary visual artist Orit – Ben Shitrit, "The End of Ten Years" and "The Stranger and the Enemy is in the Mirror" by stringdance+media, choreographed and directed by Christy Walsh. "Solo Or", a solo choreographed by Michael Getman for the dance film "D for Dimension" - a collaboration between 3 Israeli professional schools of dance, film and editing; premiered in New York at LaMaMa Experimental Theater Club, later debuted in Israel in the Jerusalem Film Festival and shown at Cinematheque Tel Aviv. Additionally, Or was selected to intern at Elsie Management in 2015, where he gained experience in arts administration.  He is currently the administrative assistant for stringdance+media and Mari Meade Dance Collective. Or has successfully completed a Pilates Mat and Apparatus certification at "The Lab", Brooklyn, NY. He currently teaches at 'The Lab', 'Pilates Vaillancourt' & The Common. Or continues to grow and be inspired as an artist, performer and teacher in New-York City.
