The Ailey School

Mykaila Symes is from Ottawa, Canada. She began her training at the age of three at Linda Jamieson School of Dance. In 2014 she moved to New York where she trained at The Ailey School in the Certificate Program. While attending The Ailey School Mykaila had the opportunity to perform in The Ailey Student Performance Group under the direction of Freddie Moore. Mykaila performed as a soloist and ensemble member in works by Alvin Ailey and Clifton Brown. After graduating she went on to perform Victoria in CATS The Musical for Royal Caribbean onboard The Oasis of the Seas. She is also a dance model for Dance As Art New York City Photography Project by Kevin Richardson.
