Kevin Petite

"The Lion King" (U.S. Tour)

Kevin Petite, native of Fort Worth, TX, began training at 15 years old under Dian Clough West and Debbie Allen Summer Intensives before later attending the University of Texas in Austin as a business major. Mr. Petite then moved to Los Angeles as a scholarship student at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, training with world renowned masters of many disciplines. After another move, this time to the East Coast, he trained at The Ailey School, working with choreographers such as Troy Powell, Scott Rink, and Abdur Jackson, and received the honorable Alvin Ailey Fellowship. Since then, Mr. Petite’s professional credits include, The National Tour of Disney's The Lion King, Radio City Christmas Spectacular Tour, Ailey II - the second company to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater - and The National Tour of Twyla Tharp’s Movin’ Out. In addition, Mr. Petite has taught master classes in schools, universities, and other dance programs across the US and in the Virgin Islands.
