Irene Paci

Grazia Capri Dance Company

Irene Paci was born in Pistoia, Italy and received her early dance training at AXE Dance School and Ballet, under the direction of Antonella Tronci. At the age of 19, she moved to Paris to continue her studies in ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary dance at Institut de Formation Professionelle de Dance Jazz Rick Odums, performing at the same time, with the respective youth companies Les Jeunes Ballet Jazz and Le Jeunes Ballet Moderne de Rick Odums. In 2018, Irene graduated from The Ailey School Certificate Program. She also trained in programs and intensives such as Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance Forsythe Improvisational Techniques Program, Henny Jurriëns Stichting Amsterdam Summer Intensive, and Les Étés de la Danse Paris Festival.  Additionally, she has participated in various workshops throughout Europe and the U.S. and has worked with choreographers and companies such as Yin Yue, Andrea Miller, Limón Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Marc Du Bouays, Samuel Wuersten, Miki Orihara, Bruce Taylor, Yen Ching Lin (Akram Khan Dance company), Iñaki Azpillagakram (Ultima Vez Company), Cristiana Morganti.

Irene is a member of Grazia Capri Company and Gwen Rakotovao Company, and in 2019 she joined the company Cross Move Lab, directed by Guanglei Hui.   Irene has also performed works by artists such as Darshan Bhuller, Alessio Silvestrin, Alex Ketley, Alvin Ailey, Earl Mosley, Brice Mousset, Darrell G. Moultrie, Amy Hall, Winston D. Brown, Joseph Albano.

She appeared in Brittain Ashford’s Music Video I Could Have Danced All Night, and her credits include a collaboration with the French company N’kialeko Dance Project, with Animation Light Project - MBVision, and with Doctor Marino A. Balducci in the realization of the CRA-INTS Divine Comedy Project.
