The Ailey School

Gyung Moo Kim, born in South Korea, had some years of formal dance training during the transition time from street dance to contemporary dance but he considers himself as a self- trained dancer. As a dancer and performer he has worked with Sidra Bell, Gallim Dance, NYTB in NYC and Fabien Prioville, Helena Waldmann, Alexander Kolpin, collective E.K.K.O, Minako Seki, Sasha Waltz & Guests and Ana Borralho & João Galante in Europe during the past years. In 2011, Moo won the first prize both in Dance and Choreography in the 15th Stuttgart solo festival with “Grief Point”, a collaboration work with Sidra Bell in NYC.  Since 2013, his works (Chasing Silence 1 & 2, Deconstruction;f1,4) have been presented in different venues in Berlin and Miltenberg in Germany as well as in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
