The Ailey School

Brittany Posas grew up in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area of North Carolina but immigrated to the United States from Costa Rica. Her youth consisted of mostly competitive dance, focusing on jazz and contemporary movement at the Dance Attic and then made a drastic switch to concert and modern dance upon entering college. Ms. Posas has a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to complete a professional training program at the prestigious Ailey School. As a scholarship student at the American Dance Festival, Ms. Posas had the opportunity to perform work by Merce Cunningham, set by Andrea Weber. She has also had the pleasure of working with such artists as Daniel Gwirtzman, Mary John Frank and Martha Nichols. Ms. Posas joined KineticArchitecture Dance Theatre during their 2014/2015 season.
