Anwar Reshma

Freelance dancer

Reshma Anwar was born and raised in Leipzig, Germany. She graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons.) in Dance and a minor in Music Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology in Music. At UArts she worked with various choreographers including Kim Bears-Bailey, Roni Koresh, Iquail Shaheed, Douglas Becker and Sidra Bell.  Reshma also had the opportunity to participate in summer intensives, including the American Ballet Theater Collegiate Summer, Les Étés de la Danse in Paris, Keigwin&Company and Ballet Hispanico's ChoreoLab. She interned with Dance Companies, such as Garth Fagan Dance, LA Contemporary Dance and American Ballet Theater. Anwar completed the Independent Study Program at The Ailey School in 2017.  She has worked with Nathan Trice's Recognizing Women Project, Peter London's Global Dance in Miami, Brazzdance, Pioneer Winter Collective and Alma Dance Theater.
