The Ailey School

Allison Macdonald (dancer) began her dance training at The Pro Arte Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia. While there, she was selected to be a Provincial Representative for Modern Dance by the British Columbia Arts Council. In 2011 she began her training at The Ailey School where she worked with choreographers Jennifer Archibald, Karole Armitage, Thang Dao, Norbert De La Cruz, Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Francesca Harper, and Kate Skarpetowska. She performed alongside the company in Alvin Ailey’s “Memoria” and “Revelations” during the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre’s 2012 New York City Center Season, at NJPAC, and at The Ailey Spirit Gala at Lincoln Center. She graduated with a Certificate of Honors in Dance from The Ailey School in 2014.  After completion of her training, Allison started dancing with August Strindberg Repertory theatre.
