Applying by Application

 Independent Study or Summer Intensive Programs

U.S.-based students unable to travel to an audition may apply by submitting the following:

• Completed Application-Audition Form
• DVD (Each segment should be no longer than three minutes. See below for details)
• Two dance photos
• Pay the $20 application fee online and mail the printed receipt with your application materials

DVD and Photo Requirements

Students must be attired according to the School dress code.

DVD

The audition DVD must demonstrate the applicant’s ability in ballet and modern.  Each segment as outlined should be no longer than three minutes.

Segment 1:  Ballet

• Center grand adagio
• Combination through space
• Petit allegro and grand allegro

Segment 2:  Modern

• Adagio and allegro
• Floor work
• Spatial work

Segment 3:  Solo

• Standard or original repertory, using modern, ballet, or jazz technique

Photos Requirements

• Tendu à la seconde
• Arabesque

Spring term - November 1
Summer term - April 1
